Moustache Cup Conestoga Wagon 458C

A white, ceramic, coffe size moustache cup with an image of a early American Conestoga Wagon, about 1800. Cup has the Americana Eagle mark on the bottom with the number 3782.

The Conestoga Wagon was a heavy, broad-wheeled covered wagon which was used to transport freight and house-hold goods in the late 1700's and 1800's across the vast open prairies to the west. Its size was such that it could carry loads of goods up to eight short tons (7 metric tons), and was hitched to 4 to 8 mules or 4 to 6 oxen.
